![]() ![]() ![]() And it takes a while every time it decides to do it.Īny idea what could trigger it to just go on a downloading spree and is there any way to stop it?Īs you wrote, same here. ![]() I have 2TB space on iCloud which is nearly all used up and a 1TB disk on my MBP which is filled to the brim after it does this. every once in a while, it seems to go haywire and just download pretty much everything I've told it to "remove download" for. Once you have the local copy and you are done with it, you can right click and choose "remove download" and it will again remove the local copy leaving only the cloud version (and again, you still see it right there for easy access should you need it again). You can then click the cloud icon or just double click the file open and it will download. ICloud Drive is almost perfect for that, since it shows you all your files in place even if they are only in the cloud and not on your local disk. ![]() I've previously used Dropbox, for example, and it's not ideal since you have to jump through a couple of hoops if you need temporary access to a given large file or two. So I'm trying to use iCloud Drive in a way to a) save space on my local drive yet b) have easy on-demand access to all the data and c) then go back to saving that space again. ![]()
